BROWN’S RATITE PREMIUM STARTER - FORMULA #654

Feed as sole feed at 3.5 to 4.5% of body weight.

An 18% protein starter crumble or short cut pellet that contains corn, soybean meal, fishmeal, alfalfa meal, and other high quality feed ingredients which assure adequate growth while maintaining good skeletal structure. This feed is highly fortified with minerals and vitamins. It contains both supplemental and natural sources of all the important amino acids needed for rapid healthy growth of these young fast growing birds. Its 5% fiber level is conducive to good gut development and helps prevent dominant birds from overeating.

BROWN’S RATITE GROWER PELLETS - FORMULA #649

Feed from 3 months to one month before breeding at 2.5 to 3.0% of body weight. Reduce rate if grass is available, or increase to free choice feeding if goal is to market birds quickly for meat.

This 18% grower has a high corn content and a fat level of over 4%. It is designed to be used after birds are started and during their rapid growth phase. For meat-type birds, this pellet provides multiple energy sources for excellent feed efficiency. While designed to be used as the sole source of nutrients for growing birds, it is fortified in such a manner that it can also supplement birds on grass, or ones consuming low levels of other sources of forage. It's amino acid profile is excellent for meeting needs of rapidly growing ratites.

BROWN’S RATITE MAINTENANCE PELLETS - FORMULA #652

Feed at approximately 2% to 3% of body weight - in cold weather increase slightly or use grower pellet to hold body condition.

An 18% Maintenance Pellet designed to hold mature birds on a basic plane of nutrition which will reduce problems with over-conditioning while maintaining good body weight and biological function. This pellet is heavily fortified with vitamins and minerals including important B vitamins needed to maintain good health on limited feed intake. While not designed as a pre-breeder pellet, it will take the birds up to within one month of the beginning of the breeding season without any additional nutrient intake from supplemental sources.

BROWN’S RATITE BREEDER PELLETS - FORMULA #653

Feed from one month before breeding until last egg is laid at the rate of 2-1/2 to 3% of body weight. Provide oyster shells on a limited basis as a source of grit and additional calcium as needed.

This 22% Breeder Pellet is high in important proteins, calcium and phosphorus needed to insure that a high percentage of eggs laid are sound, fertile, and ready to hatch. Proper breeder nutrition is essential to getting chicks off to a rapid start with high disease resistance. Adequate levels of vitamins and trace minerals insure that breeding pairs are fertile and that eggs will be strong enough to survive routine handling.
