RABBIT PELLETS |
|
A
17% high quality pelleted feed. Brown's Rabbit Pellets
include a large variety of ingredients as compared to home
mixes. This helps ensure against nutrient deficiencies.
High levels of oats, the most palatable of grains to
rabbits, are included to promote good consumption and
rapid efficient body growth.
Brown's
Rabbit Pellets should be fed as the sole feed to
lactating, growing, and pregnant rabbits. It can be fed as
the sole feed or cut with other feeds such as greens or
hay for dry does and herd bucks. Breeding bucks and unbred
does should be fed 1/8 - 1/4 lb. once daily, while bred
does should get 1/4 lb. daily. During the first 3 weeks of
nursing, feed lactating does 1/4 to 1/2 lb. once daily,
depending on size of doe and litter. (Feed less if does
and litter are small). Growing youngsters should be
started out with the amount they will clean up within one
hour. Remove uneaten feed after that time. Increase the
amount slowly until about 1/4 lb. daily is fed. After
that, self feed for maximum growth. |

FEEDING GUIDELINES |
|
Greens
- Greens such as carrots and leafy portions of plants may
be fed, but in very small amounts so that animals will
clean them up in several hours. Avoid wilted, moldy or
stale greens.
Hay
- No hay is needed with any of Brown's Rabbit and Guinea
Pig Feeds if they are fed according to directions. If good
alfalfa or clover hay is cheap, small amounts can be fed,
but it will not improve the ration.
Water
- Keep fresh clean water before animals at all times.
Never skimp with the water supply. Clean water receptacles
daily.
Salt
- All mineral needs are supplied by Brown's Rabbit and
Guinea Pig Feeds when fed as directed. However, some
animals desire extra salt which can be offered in the form
of salt spools. |
