Step 1: Grain Receiving and Storage               Return     

The screenings collected from both dockage testers are combined and weighed on our Seedburo Grain Scale. This sample has .5% screenings, an acceptable amount.

From the cleaned wheat, 250 grams is weighed out to be tested for moisture content.

The 250 grams is then placed in our Burrows Moisture Tester. Here the result is 12.8%. Any wheat over 13.5% is wet; therefore it needs to be dried in our continuous flow gas drier. Dry wheat, like this sample is suitable to go directly into long term storage.
